Temperature stress and creep

In this case, after several temperature cycles, periodic creep superimposition is continuously produced; as the creep increases and the binding force of the polymer chain gradually reaches equilibrium, the creep increment gradually decreases to zero, reaching the creep limit. If the installation is in the high temperature season, the temperature difference with the highest temperature is small, and there is basically no bending deformation due to thermal expansion. However, in the low temperature season, the toughness and strength of plastic wood decrease with temperature; because both ends are fixed, the temperature stress generated by plastic wood shrinkage due to cooling reaches the maximum value, which often leads to damage at the fixed place.

During the rainy season, WPC absorbs water and swells, and the WPC material produces a small amount of creep elongation, which cannot be recovered; and with the alternating cycle of dryness and wetness, creep elongation occurs periodically and superimposes. As the wood inside the plastic wood reaches the possible water expansion limit and the binding force of the polymer material, the increment of water expansion creep elongation gradually decreases to zero, reaching the creep limit.
