Several common misunderstandings of consumers in the selection of outdoor wood-plastic flooring
Tuesday, August 1, 2023Misunderstanding 1: Add a large core board when laying
In order to pursue the feeling of feet too much, some consumers add a layer of large core board on the keel. In fact, the quality of large core boards varies greatly, and inferior large core boards will affect the paving quality of wood-plastic floor boards. Therefore, if consumers must pursue an exorbitant foot feel, they must choose brand-name large-core board products sold in the market.
Misunderstanding 2: Only re-purchase and not re-paving
Wood-plastic flooring has direct paste method, keel paving method, and suspended paving method. No matter what paving method is adopted, a good construction team must be selected, and the “six non-paving” must be adhered to, that is, the wall is wet and leaky, the ground is not dry, and the floor is not flat.
Misunderstanding 3: Do not pay attention to daily maintenance
Some consumers think that wood-plastic flooring does not need to be maintained too carefully. They directly mop the floor with a mop and don’t care about the dripping of the heating. As a result, the flooring products are prone to problems such as discoloration, deformation, and cracks. If you use wooden floors, you must regularly maintain the floor according to the requirements of the manufacturer.
Myth 4: Wood-plastic flooring is not environmentally friendly
Some consumers believe that natural wood contains a certain amount of formaldehyde. In addition to the multi-layer gluing between the veneers, the formaldehyde content in oak parquet is relatively high, which is not environmentally friendly. In fact, as long as the formaldehyde emission of wood-plastic flooring is controlled within the range specified by the national standard, it can be used with confidence.
Misunderstanding 5: Sales and laying are separated
Manufacturers of high-quality solid wood flooring and solid wood composite flooring products generally have a professional paving team or professional paving guide to ensure the paving service of products for sale. If consumers encounter that sales and paving are not in the same unit, they must be vigilant. Once problems arise in the future, it is likely to cause mutual avoidance between the two parties, causing consumers to suffer unspeakably. Therefore, consumers should strive to unify sales and paving.
Misunderstanding 6: Pursue plain boards and refuse to buy lacquered boards
Some consumers think that the plain board is a genuine wood-plastic floor, and the price is cheap, and they can save part of the processing fee by spending money on painting for a long time, but they don’t know that their own painting may cause the floor to be polluted and the quality of the paint cannot be guaranteed.
Misunderstanding 7: Too much pursuit of texture equality
Wood-plastic flooring is a natural wood product. Due to different planting locations, sunlight and other factors, the color of the wood is not the same. In addition, even for the boards sawn from the same wood, due to the different positions of the saws, the color depth and wood texture will not be the same, so the wood-plastic floor objectively has the phenomenon of color difference and uneven pattern.
